Interview with Makeup Artist Keshua Hunt
Keshua is definelty making an impact in the Style and beauty business. She is not only a makeup artist, but she designs her own jewelry called Kk Jewelry!

Q. Tell us about Keshua Hunt the makeup artist, how did you get started?
A. I started at the age of 16 playing in makeup. My mother was a hair stylist and I would do little make overs on her clients. That was when I fell in love with the makeup artistry. I kept at it and then 18 years ago I went to school to perfect my craft.
Q. What was the influence or the motivation behind creating your brand?
A. My motivation was to create a brand that was made for all women. I wanted to help women embrace there imperfection, by doing this they will see that they are not alone. We all have something we don't like about ourselves which make us unique. I help them work through that and show them how beautiful they are.
Q. Being that you are in the beauty business… How do you fill about the representation of how beauty is being portrayed?
A. I think the beauty industry is doing OK, can it do better? Absolutely, I would like to see more sponsorship for independent entrepreneur's. We small business need help and often times we don't have the connections. If the cosmetic brands could offer more colors choices for African American that would be a plus. The Demographics has shown that African American women spend more on beauty products but we are lacking in color selections.
Q. What advice would you give to someone who wants to pursue being in the beauty business, whether its makeup, jewelry design, etc.?
A. Here is what I will say, do your homework. Know what part of the beauty/fashion industry you want to get involve in. Surround yourself with people who are creative like one self. If you have idea's they are your idea's don't share them with everybody. And by all means enjoy the ride, as you gain more exposure and confidence. You will see your success grow.
Q. What’s next for Keshua Hunt Brand.?
A. I am working on my look book. I will be putting together some beauty cafe's events. I am also working on creating my blog.
