Interview with CEO& Publisher of UStyle Magazine Bridgett Davis

When I met this lady right here, I know I had to feature her on the Style N Beauty blog series. Her heart for people is like no other. Once I got to know Bridgett, I realize we had somethings in common where we like to celebrate and showcase others who are making an impact with there business or community. I had the pleasure of being interviewed on her radio talk show and we had so much fun. Check out her interview, I know after reading it, you will also see her her love for people.

Tell us about Bridgette Davis the Publisher and CEO. How did you get started?

Well it all began in 1999, I was interning with Benji Little who had a very popular magazine called Go Go Swings. I had a lot of fun helping him on the campus of UDC in fact I loved it so much, I said hey I want to start my own magazine. I can to this. So I decided on a name pulled together a team, a Marketing Director, Photography, Graphics Director and we hit the pavement doing interviews and chasing the VIP's from here to New York at the time. Because it was a print publication printing costs were outrageous so Capital City Magazine soon folded. Now comes 2017 and someone says to me, why don't you start your magazine up again, you need something to do, so I've always had a love for reading magazines, and stuff so I grabbed a notebook, pen, and put all of my ideas for my magazine on paper, the name contents, first articles and people I wanted in it and most importantly I wanted to do it online so that I would not run into the pit falls of printing costs again. I got on social media to seek out local people that had or were doing what I wanted to do and came across Kato Hammond of TMOTTGoGo, who already had his magazine online. I explained to him what I wanted to do, how I wanted the website to look, right down to the logo. We had a couple of phone meetings, sent a few emails and faxes, I paid my money and he put all my ideas on the web, hence came www.ustylemag.com an online lifestyle magazine, then soon came USTYLE Magazine internet Talk Radio Show.
