Interview with Fashion and Lifestyle Blogger Nikemi

I call this chick the Michelle Obama of fashion and lifestyle blogging.

I love every look that she puts to together with such grace and class. That’s why I couldn’t wait to feature her for this weeks Style N Beauty Series. I hope her interview with empower you.

Q.   Tell us about Nikemi by Nikes. How did you get started?

A.   Thank you so much for this opportunity, I appreciate you and what you are doing. Nikemibynikes started out of love for fashion and taking pictures. Two years ago, I moved to a new city in Canada. This brought y attention to my Instagram account that I have not been active on. But because I hate not doing anything and I was about to start my Master degree I decided to start exploring social media more. I found out I can share my love for fashion in my own way and called personal blog. J that’s was the beginning.

Q.   What was the influence or the motivation behind creating your blog?

A.   After I started taking pictures every Sunday on my way to church or after church I realized it was working cos my phone picture output was not as I would want it to be. So, I asked someone that takes picture in my church to always take me after Sunday. Then I learnt I can have my website and there I can share my story behind each look then upload more pictures.

Q. Being that you are Fashion Blogger How do you fell about the representation of how fashion and beauty is being portrayed?

A. The beauty about fashion is representation of the individual wearing the clothes or make up. Fashion is whatever you call it. As far as you are comfortable in it. Be your representation and not telling other people stories.

A.   What advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own business or blog?

Q.    My advice is make sure you know why you are doing it and represent yourself because there are lovers for everyone’s fashion sense and idea. Know your followers and put out stuff that represents that.

Q.  What’s next for Nikemi by Nikes?

A. I will love to keep growing because I am only one year old in this journey and I am grateful for where I am. One day I will like to have a product that has my name on it.
